Patrick,

If I just want my telescope to point at a target to within say +/- 3
arc-min, which of the below are the most important to have set
corretly in Skycharts. I've ranked these in what I suspect to be the
highest to lowest importance. Can someone advise?

1. Epoch: Set this to 2000.0 or would this be set to whatever is
closest to the current date; say 2008.5 ?

2. Equniox: Same as above 2000.0 or 2008.5 ?

3. Refraction: Patrick, It seems like I'd read that you leave this up
to the scope controller to compensate for this one?

4. Nutation: No setting. This is just automatically compensated for
in Sky charts V3.0 ?

5. Precession - is this automatically compensated for when Epoch and
Equinox are set correctly?

Any thing else I'm missing that I would have to setup in Skycharts V3?

Since I'm just interested in +/- 3 arc-min I wouldn't be concerned
with things like proper motion.

Thanks,

John Ott
