Hi, I have installed Skychart in Ubuntu 8.10 without any problem. Try this out: 1. uninstall Skychart
If you installed it using "dpkg -i package..." then uninstall "dpkg -P skychart" then delete /home/[user]/cartes_du_ciel directory and delete .cartes_du_ciel.ini file 2. Then follow install info for Ubuntu at: http://www.ap-i.net/skychart/en/documentation/install_on_linux_debian By the way, use "sudo" before commands. Regards
