I'm not running Vista. But I don't expect this is a bug, because the program with my computers (WinXP and SuSE Linux) do fine. Probably the display of those objects is switched off. Can you check your settings? From the documentation I can do some suggestions.
How to activate (or deactivate) the display of the objects: http://www.ap-i.net/skychart/en/documentation/menuchart#show_objects or http://www.ap- i.net/skychart/en/documentation/object_bar#object_group_b Good chance that you have set the display filter for comets and asteroids to a value by which there aren't objects left to display. Try Setup -> Solar System -> Comet. Now, at he bottom of the "General" tab, you can change the value "Show comets [x] magnitude fainter than the stars". Set this to a rather high value, for example to 12. Choose a FOV of 90 degrees, and display the ecliptic somewhere in the center. Now I expect you will have some comets displayed. They may be hard to find. You can switch them on and off by clicking at the comets display button. You can do the same for the asteroids. A last suggestion: Did you prepare the monthly data for the asteroids? I guess so, otherwise have a look here: http://www.ap-i.net/skychart/en/documentation/solar_system#asteroid Success, Marc Fokker
