Is it really flipping, or just rotating?
If you zoom in to 10' FOV or closer, it will only show the chart in polar (EQ)
mode, not alt-az (aka "azimuthal" or "zenithal", or look for "HZ"
("horizontal"?) in the top title bar of the program window). If you're in
alt-az mode and zoom too close, it will switch automatically. When zoomed in
so far in v2.76, there are usually no grid lines showing, so it can be
confusing, but look at the top line and you'll see "HZ" change to "EQ" when you
zoom in close.
Here's one you can test for me: I never noticed this in years of using CdC v2.x
until just a month or two ago, but after you start the program, if you open the
time window, uncheck "use system time", and then change the time, and then do
just about anything else (eg, find Jupiter), and then go back to the time
window, the time will have reverted to what it was before. But the time of the
chart will still be correct (shown in the top line). This only seems to happen
if changing the time is the very first thing you do after opening the program,
and it only happens the first time.
