I've been using CdC 3.1-1220 on Ubuntu Linux for a while, and I've
noticed a few things that seem peculiar or appear to be bugs:

If one configures to use DSS RealSky (which I don't have), requests an
image and then cancels the action in the Confirmation regarding the CD
mount, then any operation afterward fails with 'Resource "btlseldir"
not found' and the app is crashed.

When the Washington Double star catalog is included, there are quite a
number of short line segements all over the sky, even at wide FOV,
that resolve themselves to be multiple star systems when examined
closely enough. But the stars themselves are often too faint to be
shown on the wide chart, so the line segments connecting them should
also not be visible, and are much out of scale in any event.

It seems like variable stars are a bit in limbo - they're not stars
nor deep-sky objects, because I can't get their circles to go away by
clicking either the hide stars or hide deep sky buttons. When hide
stars is in effect, the circles are still there but clicking on them
offers up no information.

Changing between the 3 varieties of display mode reveals that one can
only set the deep-sky display for one mode. The others seem to be
fixed (objects and the milky-way are filled in). I can change the
display parameters from the setup, but if I click the Change Drawing
Mode button and cycle around, eventually the deep-sky display
resets. Is there a way to fully configure all three Drawing modes
separately?

I defined 3 charts, linked and at different FOV and orientation. After
a crash they reloaded in a different order than originally - Chart 1
is now the wide field, whereas this was previously Chart 3. Is there a
way to name the charts? And is there a keyboard shortcut for switching
between them (or a set of tabs somewhere)? - the window menu is a bit
cumbersome for quickly flipping between charts (I like mine to be
full-window).

The Night Vision color button switches the text to red, but does not
affect the rest of the window dressing of the app - could it change
the default colours from steel grey to red or similar as well?

In some Drawing modes the compass rose has only 1 arm for each
coordinate system, so one cannot easily tell which way is East or
right.

Clicking on a solar eclipse map is an immediate crash. The map window
starts to appear then it all folds up. The debugging version shows:

TGtkWidgetSet.DeleteObject GdiObject=B494FED0 gdiBitmap is still used. DCCount=1
DC: B7073240 nil

Program received signal SIGFPE, Arithmetic exception.
