I have made a new catalog of stars that is based on the BSC-catlog but with
updated data and inclusion of info of both double stars and variable stars. The
catalog is in two flavours and can be downloaded from:

1) Suitible for with BSC-catalog deactivated in CdC:
http://web.telia.com/~u95304762/sbsc/sbsc.zip
2) Suitible for with BSC-catalog activated:
http://web.telia.com/~u95304762/sbsc/sbsc2.zip

Some of the characteristics is:
- Only stars north of decl. -33 (stars visible from Sweden)
- Inclusion of all stars with Bayer/Flamsteed/HR-designation
- Inclusion of all other stars tht is brighter than 6.5
- Double stars with a combined magnitud of 6.5 or brighter.
- Variable stars with a maximum of 6.5 or higher.
- Total of 7207 stars.

Stars:
- Data for position, magnitud, B-V, parallax, spectral class, proper motion is
from Sky2000 ver 4.
- Bayer/Flamsteed/proper name is from HD-DM-GC-HR-HIP-Bayer-Flamsteed Cross
Index.
- Alternative Bayer/Flamsteed designation for some stars.

Double stars:
- For 913 stars, closer than 2 minute of arc and where both components is
present in Tycho-2 or Sky2000, a combined magnitud is computed as well as the
stars own. Magnitud, separation an position angles is taken from the position
in these catalogs, preferably from Tycho-2
- Simpler data for another 1400 double stars from Sky2000.

Variables:
- Data for 289 variable stars with a maximun magnitud higher than 6.5 and an
amplitud more than 0.2
- GCVS designation and type
- Max/min magnitud or amplitud.
- Period for periodic variables.
- Catalog magnitud for variables is an average maximum as observed at AAVSO
during last 10-15 years.
- For less studied variables catalog magnitud is from Sky2000.
