Meade uses the term "Smart Drive" for PEC, and "Smart Mount Technology" for 
their T-point type multi-star alignment (it compensates pointing for flex 
errors, etc), but I've never heard them use the term "Smart Motor Technology".

I know virtually nothing about modern computer programming, but there's an
