I got a little closer to recreating the full error, but it still clears up for 
me just be restarting the program. 

Try this: create an empty file (open MS Notepad, but don't type anything), save 
it as $TEMP.CAT in place of the old $TEMP.CAT file.  Then CdC will have 
something to find.

Note that the ESO SkyCat version of USNO-A2.0 still works, as does the Vizier 
USNO-B1.0
