Actually, its about 60% complete. When I wrote did the deep sky plotting and
colors it was loosely based on SA2000, then Uranometria, but I do quite like
the Herard-Bobroth designs. I thought it might be good to offer a choice of
object symbol designs, but as yet I havent got round to checking IP
implications. I might take another look at this. I'm currently working on a
few other changes as I had to generate a few monthly star maps and some
charts for an article I wrote on the Virgo Cluster, and ended up throwing my
keyboard at the screen because CdC can't do what I need it to do...

Subject: [skychart-discussion] Non-filled object symbols?

Is there a way to display atlas-style 'outline' symbols as an alternative to
an image on the chart (i.e., Tirion-like, eg., a dotted circle to represent
an open cluster, a 'four quadrant circle' for a globular, etc.)? I have
tried unchecking the "Fill" checkbox on the object colors dialog, but all
symbols remain color-filled. I have the UC3 catalog installed, so I really
don't need to images for clusters since I have plenty of stars displayed.
Turning images off shows a transparent, but still filled, symbol instead of
an outline.

I'm running the March 29th SVN on Vista.

Thanks!

(I'll be out for the next couple of days, but will definitely read all
replies when I return.)
