I assume you have loaded ASCOM properly. You only need the Bluetooth transmitter part of your "Bluetooth to Serial adapter", the part that connects to the bottom of the hand control. You set up the transmitter to a "detect" mode (may involve some sort of reset...in my StarryNight Bluestar it is achieved by pushing a paper clip into a hole in the back and pressing a small reset switch), then have the computer's Bluetooth application search for it and pair.
In Windows, the com port that the Bluetooth is connected to can be found in Control Panel/System/Hardware/Ports. I don't know Ubunto but it must have something similar that can tell you which serial port the Bluetooth is connected to. Once the computer and transmitter are paired, you go to CdC and set up the telescope interface with the ASCOM Celestron driver. You choose the telescope (Nexstar/CPC) and then the com port. Then try to connect. Larry F --- In [email protected], "cornemuseplayer" <ac.hix...@...> wrote: > > I'm running CdC on an Asus 901 under Ubunto 10.
