Hello, How are you all? In order that the Skype scripts and Jaws works successfully, Please make sure that the Skype Classic and the Extended keyboard Navigation is checked/ tick on Skype for hearing the Skype status and screen readers to work properly. I have heard some basic Microsoft screen readers can do it in modern mode. But I do like the accessible mode on Skype which is great for Skype users who is visually impaired! To do this:
Do alt and V to get to the View Menu. Then Go to Accessibility which is the last bit in the menu Then Go to both of them and tick/check both of them. You will need to do it twice in the alt and V to check box them. It will take a bit of time for the modern mode to replace it to classic mode but it is a cool feature since Skype have been updated. This will work on Skype 3 and above. Skype 2 and earlier have it on already and there isn't a accessibility option but I found on earlier version that the audio isn't good if u speak to someone on 3 because the audio is muffled so it is good to update the skype.
