I think Jack was saying he wonders why Samuel wants to stay with Yahoo for an email account server, not why Sarah wants to stay with Emissives, the SkypeEnglish mailing list server. Emissives is working fine as far as I can tell for this list. The problem, so it seems, is that Yahoo.com is categorically rejecting all email from Emissives.com. At least that's what it looks like from here. I've actually examined the email headers of the bounce messages Sarah, as list moderator, has been receiving; and they all say that Yahoo is "temporarily" rejecting email from Emissive.com's IP address "due to user complaints." Usually, that means somebody figured out a way to implicate an address or domain, Emissives.com in this case, as if it were sending spam. I suspect the problem was actually caused by something totally unrelated to SkypeEnglish and that Yahoo, automatically or perhaps manually, just blocked Emissives to solve that problem, with the unexpected side effect of causing a bunch of Yahoo users to lose their subscriptions to this list. In any case, this a Yahoo issue, and one that Sarah is working with both companies to resolve. As we all know though, any issue requiring cooperation between two large outfits tends not to get resolved overnight.
I'm sorry there is so much list traffic about this issue. I have another interpretation of this fact though: Perhaps it means there are few if any larger problems to talk about at the moment. Let metest Yes, I am sure that yahoo doesn't work very well. I dont know. I had yahoo use for some time, but all the group messages from different groups use to reach very late. Even if I send a message to the group in the afternoon it would reach late night or in the morning. I think it is the main problem with the server.
