[Skypeenglish] Regarding web camera

Could you please tell me how to use the camera on skype?
I have the camera, and I know that it should be inserted on the usb drive.
But when I try using it, people say that they cannot see me.
Do I need to install any software?
Please give some suggestion and may be I may manage.
