There are actually 2 fields for setting the hotkeys. The first one shows keys like control, shift, alt, and so on. Any one of these keys, or a combination of these keys can be checked. The next field allows you to assign any of the other keyboard keys with the other one or ones you've just checked. For example, the hot key for starting Jaws is usually control, alt, J. But first time installations of Skype always have the same assigned hotkeys for answer, and hang up call. But you do have to make sure that the global hotkeys box is checked. That allows you to answer and hang up calls no matter what window you're in. Without the global hotkeys checked, you have to be in the skype window for those hotkeys to function. Jack
