I'm afraid I'm not versed in Window-Eyes. I'm sort of watching the
developments regarding Window-Eyes scripting with interest though.

For the record, I don't object to scripting other screen readers
(after all, scripting is my profession), but my doing or not doing it
will be based mostly on time and on my work I expect. I have, over
the years, been approached by several people from several companies
for help designing scripting languages for different screen readers,
and perhaps to the surprise of some, I chose not to assist in
designing them, even though I have no qualms against using them. This
is because I have worked very long with Freedom Scientific, though
never as an employee, and I saw the act of helping create a scripting
language in a competing product as a form of competition against the
system I am most often employed to script. That said though, I view
the actual scripting of any sufficiently capable screen reader as
merely enhancing accessibility for all who use it; and I am all about
enhancing the accessibility of things. I'm not sure if everyone will
understand why I draw such a line between design and use, but I can
always hope.

Incidentally, though I can't say for certain without seeing more, it
sounds like GW Micro did the best thing they could in my eyes for
their scripting approach. My only concern, and it is a big one, is
security; but that starts to stray widely from Skype, so I'll shut up
now. <grin>

does doug use win-eyes. hmm interesting, get your point about vb script,
doug could write the code out with jaws, give it to a win-eyes user, hmm,
but there are disadvantages.

As these scripts are in b script I am sure that users or
people like Doug will want to add features to them. This is real good news.
