The scripts shouldn't affect whether or not, or how, sending files works; but I'm afraid I don't know why she's having trouble sending. Unless I missed something, your description of what she's doing sounds right. I'm pretty sure I've just hit Enter myself to send.
She can also try sending by finding the file in Windows Explorer, opening the Context menu on it, going to "Send To," and choosing Skype, to get there a different way.
