I tried Skread year ago and it's not just like SkypeWatch. Firstable, it uses Sapi 5 synth and it is always one you specify in ini file, and Skype Watch uses synth which is loaded with screen reader. Secondable, in this Skype watch version you can disable speaking your own status and in Skread that is not possible, and that was the most annoying thing in Skread and earlier versions of script. I think that setting of SkypeWatch should not be the problem, cause the instructions on web are so detailed that anyone, even one who is not too familiar with PC usage could get it running.
