To clear up a bit of confusion: To hear the typing sound, the following must be true:
1. The listener must be running script revision 618 (or later, whenever later ones come out). The typer's script version doesn't matter; the sender doesn't even have to be running scripts or JAWS at all. 2. Both listener and typer must be running a Skype version that handles typing indications, though I don't remember when that started (3.5 maybe, or 3.2?). 3. The typer must have left the box checked that allows typing indications to be sent. In my Skype version, that box is called "Show when I am typing" and is in Tools, Options, Chat Settings, Advanced.
