OK I now have discovered that the problem a friend hearing my typing is solved when I changed my status to on line from invisible. I gather if my status is on line, they can hear my typing, but not if my status is either off line or invisible. I'm not necessarily trying ti hide from anyone, particularly anyone that is on my contacts list. Is there then any way they can hear my typing if my status is invisible?
