[Skypeenglish] Is this how the new beta is supposed to work

Having just installed the new beta, I just received my first chat message,
and discovered that chat messages don't appear in separate windows as they
used to. Also skype does not open a window when you receive a chat message
either. Is this what's supposed to happen, I suspect it is.
Also, I set the options so I'm supposed to get a system tray notification
when I receive a chat message, this doesn't seem to happen.
