Hi Rick and list! Yep it was funky. It was one of the reasons Doug made it possible for us to easily change this to something the individual preferred. See verbossity to change it if you like. I use the accent key because I don't need that key for anything else in Skype. On the other hand, if I do need it, the pass through is my friend.
