Hello. Go into control panel, then into add remove software.
Look if you have old scripts installed. If you do, remove them. Restart your computer. Then if you have jaws skype scripts revision 653. While in the skype window, do insert+q, Or, jaws+q. This should tell you it's revision 653. If not then it's not installed properly. There is an installer for the jaws skype scripts as an exe file you can download it from Doug Lee's website. While installing it, at one point make sure it's for your jaws version. There is a list view of your jaws version on your computer. Mine only has jaws 9 so it can't show more. Focus on the last version of your jaws and then continue the installation. Then go into skype window. Do insert+q and it should tell you it's revision 653 scripts loaded. Do this and then let's hope it's getting there. We'll help you with the rest. I don't use skread so that's all for now. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Stephanie Smeader" <[email protected]> To: "screen access software with skype" <skypeenglish at emissives.com> Sent: Tuesday, December 30, 2008 5:45 AM Subject: Re: [Skypeenglish] jaws 9 and skype scripts? Hello everyone I'm also new to this list and as for Skreed I've tried it a longtime ago but everytime I wanted to use it before skypewatch in one of the older versions I had to allow it but even so I had to start the exe file for Skreed all the time1 I know this sounds a little vague but I wanted to share my experience with Skreed with all of you1 Also I would like to inform Doug that the new Slypewatch instructions are way to comlicated for me to set up my myself1 I'm going to need help with the instructions as soon as I get the instructions! I also had a little trouble updating Skype a while ago! My xp computer wouldn't let me update to the latest version 3.8.188 for some odd reason and I don't know why! After I recieved the new version from a friend because of the problem I had with automatically updating Skype through the "Check for updates" area in the help menu I also got the new scripts! I'm currenly using the 653's! Most of them are working except for the Skypewatch! Inane older version all we had to do was hit incert zero and that would open up the Skype script manager! Then after making a blank line I would then type in the word use and the Skypewatch with both quotes with the .jsb in there and then I'd compile it! Nowadays the skypewatch setup has become too complex and it's harder to set up! My question is this: Why did they make it so hard to set up?
