Happy new Year!

This sounds like Skype is controlling your audio settings.  Have you checked
the options setting under "Audio" to see if the switch "let Skype adjust my
audio setting" is checked? If this is on you might try unchecking it and see
if that leaves JAWS alone.
I keep this unchecked and have no problem. The adjustments can then be made
under "Sounds  and Audio devices" in Control Panel.

Hi,

I installed the software for a skype phone onto my pc. each time i connect
it, to the USB, the jaws volume drops out.

I am using a sound blaster live card, jaws v10, and windows xp2. It is a
dect skype phone.

Any ideas?
