Hi, check if you enabled the view / accessibility submenu, especially the first one, which says: "Extended keyboard navigation". If not, you won't able to set your MoodText, neither with ctrl+m, nor using the File menu. Turn on this option, then completely restart Skype even quitting from the system tray.
