If you kept the 3.8 installer downgrading is quite simple. Simply run the 3.8 installer again. This will uninstall Skype 4.0 and reinstall Skype 3.8. If you are using jaws and jaws scripts. Simply run the revision 653 installer to install the Skype scripts for 3.8. I hope this helps.
