Actually at this point, eBay does not wish to sell Skype. The chief executive officer of eBay has said that he does not believe that Skype is a distraction. They will probably attempt to spin it off at some point. Also, eBay will not sell Skype for a loss, meaning that if someone is going to attempt to buy it. They have to buy it for more then or at the same price. EBay purchased it. Also considering the fact that even though Skype is not relevant to eBay's core business. It is at the moment a substantial revenue generator.
