Hi!
Although I am not a JAWS 10 user, Skype 4 works well with the latest JAWS
scripts I could find, namely revision 40C. I was using revision 642 with Skype
3.8, and, when I upgraded my scripts after upgrading Skype, there was no need
to install any of the script revisions which came in between those two.
Admittedly there are some display issues with Skype 4, for example Skypewatch
doesn't work so well with Skype 4 as with 3.8, but what a couple of people have
already written here is true, that the audio quality is better in Skype 4 than
in Skype 3.8.
In the end, it's up to you which one you use. We can each recommend a different
version, but you have to weigh up the fors and againsts for the different
versions of Skype. Skype 4 is the latest one, but I can understand some
people's preference for Skype 3, because I myself found Skype 4 hard to use
before I got JAWS scripts for it. Whichever version you choose, scripts are
definitely recommended for those who use JAWS with Skype!
I hope this helps.
Best wishes from
Clare
