[Skypeenglish] Disturbing sounds in the call

Hey guys,
I'm posting this one on behalf of a friend of mine who's not subscribed here. 
On February 6th, 2009 he upgraded to Skype 3.8, before he used an earlier 
version. Since some days after this upgrade, he hears some strange and very 
disturbing sounds while in a call, while we other hear him good. He's forced to 
hang up the call and re-call, and not always the problem fixes.
Any help would be appreciated.
