Dear Yvonne, in the meantime you can still replace that awful sound with something nicer . You can even tell Skype to use the sound you want for any given event. Go to Skype's option menu and choose sound. Then tab to the event list, choose the one you want and make sure it's checked. Then tab to the importsound button and click it. Cheers, JPR
