Hi well Doug here is the final  word on this from gw micro support I don't
think it will help you much.  Also checked auto hotkey and it does in fact
allow me to use the windows key on windows 7 rc1 with no problem so quite
frankly I don't get it.

We're starting to get into details that I know nothing about. All I know 
is that the Windows key can still be used in conjunction with 
Window-Eyes hotkeys. Whether or not Skype decides to use them is up to 
them. It really doesn't matter what Microsoft does. The Windows key is a 
key on the keyboard, and can be used by whatever applications wants to 
use it.
