I agree. I have just upgraded, and I love the way it now tells you who went 
offline! It's amazing. The only thing I don't like, is that there is no 
missed events pannel as far as I can see any more, and Skypewatch no longer 
says Skype: status online, etc as far as I can tell, and the file transfer 
thing, but apart from that, it's brilliant! The quality sounds a lot better 
too! I tested it using the Skype Test Call, now known as Echo/Sound Testing 
Service.
Hope to talk soon, and try out this version even further.
