What do you mean by "I have sound?" do you mean your computer will not emit any sound unless on a skype phone call? Is so, maybe your windows sounds have been muted. What OS are you using? Try running narrator to see if maybe the problem is with your screen reader. If Narrator doesn't turn on then its more evidence for Windows audio being muted.
