You know, I never did a double JAWSKey+F1 document for the Skype scripts, but it's probably not a bad idea. Some things are just too much to document under Insert+H conveniently, whereas with the double JAWSKey+F1, users can skim by heading etc. I will consider crafting and attaching such a document based on existing release notes from my web site. This would give me a decent way to document the Skype Command system, which is currently just documented on the web site.
As far as checking your online status, the normal JAWS command for reading the status line, JAWSKey+PageDown, works when you're in the Skype window without a call active. Admittedly it does not work when a call is active though.
