i went to the site you mention and downloaded and run scripts i think it
said 4x and something about c
i selected to install on jaws 10
now when i go to my contacts i am able to use the control and number key
instead of alt and the number key
also it no longer says unselected with each contact name
however when it comes to online and offline announcements i don't get jaws
saying the person has gone offline or online
is there something i have not done or have i installed and set this
correctly?
and how would i know if i have not installed anything or set something up?
i have restarted the pc in the hope that this will cure but no joy
what have i done wrong?

in version 9 of jaws the key command for contacts and messages etcetera

control plus 1 and 2 now i have jaws 10 it seems to of changed from the
control key to the alt key
also when i go to my contacts i get jaws announcing the following
statement
unselected in version 9 of jaws this did not happen
is this a jaws thing or is it a script update

And by putting the jaws cursor on the "dot dot dot" and join to pc you

sometimes see the speed of the transfer and how much has been
completed.

There is sort of a progress bar that says the remaining time if I
recall.
