Hi all, I pointed out a procedure for this problem, but apparently some of you did not get it. If using Skype 4.1.0.179, please save this email in a safe place. I only will resend it off list to new entries which may have this problem and not read me now. First of all, really the procedure was not suggested by Doug like I thought before, but by another friend from Italy who is not subscribed here, I think. Do the following: 1. completely unload Skype; 2. open your appdata\Skype\user folder. Just as an example, consider my own data, where Michele Barbi is my Windows log in name and american_idiot5178 is the Skype Id. So, the correct location will be: C:\Documents and settings\Michele Barbi\Application data\Skype\american_idiot5178; 3. delete the files config.lck and config.xml; 4. open Skype and re-set your configuration, including accessibility, system notification, hotkeys, and compact view if you need it.
