Hi all!
I have now tried the free MP3 Skype recorder that is recommended.
You know when things sound too good to be true, they usually are, and this
is no exception. Accessibility is far from suitable.
The recordings it makes don't sound bad, but be prepared for your voice to
be in a single channel while the party you're talking to will be in both
channels.
The programme's manual is not as detailed as it should be, and I suspect it
was translated through some automated process that is happening with a lot
of things now days. Globalisation does not necessarily always help when it
causes more problems than it solves.
It was fun seeing how far I could get with it, but I don't think I'll be
wasting any more time on it. After all, what are holidays for, right?

Well, there are lots of options out there. Many of them are free. Goldwave
will do it. If you've not tried call burner, that may work, although my
experience with it under Vista has been most unsatisfactory.
Moving up the price range, Total Recorder will do it, but you have to cope
with some accessibility issues there.
I should be able to do it with Studio Recorder, but there is something in
that process that still eludes me.
