Hey Dominique,
don't know if it can help, but consider that the left bracket is the Skype
command key by default. If you use this key for a different character in a
non-english keyboard, press insert+v from within Skype, then down till you
find the "Skype command key" option. Press space bar and type a new key or
combination when prompted. Maybe one that you don't use so much.
