Hello Sakina,
try to go to Tools / options, down till advanced options, and disable the
checkboxes "Notify me" and "Automatically download it (you will be asked for
confirmation)". These checkboxes may appear twice as they refer to a new
Skype version in the first case and to an hotfix in the second one; uncheck
both cases.
