Hi!
Yes, that can have advantages. There is a conversation that likely will be
continued, so I shouldn't have to go through the agony of setting it up
again. I did it successfully yesterday, and had a productive conference. It
uncovered one small problem which I'll detail in a later message, in caseit
is something that could be added to scripts or might be there already and I
have missed.

Creating a conference callis quite easy in skype 4.x
For example
1.
Select first user, open a text chat
Type nothing
Open conversation menu (alt+o)
Open Add people
Select other users (exactly the same dialog as in skype 3.8) Press ok Tab to
Call to group button and press space bar
Or:
2.
Start first call
Open conversation menu, add users
Select users, .. press ok
All these users are added to the conference call.
Or
3.
Start first call
Move to the contact list or to the conversation list Select second user
Press application key Choose invite to conference Move back to contact list
...
Or
4.
Create a user category
Select this category - show these users
Select users (shft+arrow)
Press application key
Start conference call.
Or
5.
Latest Doug lee scripts
Start first call
Find next user (in contact list or in conversation list) Call to second user
Skype asks Do you want put active call on hold or add this user to
conference
Or
6.
You have a call
Someone calls to you
Move to live conversation list (ctrl+3)
Select the incomming call
Pressapplication key
Select add to conference
If you wish you can save the active group to the contact list and call from
the contact list(7)

Thanks for mentioning skctl. I did start to install that a while back
and it is a project I need to get back to. It sounds like some useful
functions are on the horizon there, but release when you can be
confident with it.
Can I now bring this back around to what it was about in the first
place? It isn't about adding people, though admittedly that is
relevant. This is about the difficulties in the initial organisation
of the conference that seems to have been lost.
