Despite the subject line, it is appropriate for this list, see below.
First of all, I hope you are enjoying SkypeTalking. I am, and it's way
better than the scripts (no offense intended Doug, lol).
If you are using NVDA 2009.1, then I have some good news for you. When
launching SkypeTalking, it will use your default SAPI5 voice set in
Windows. So, for example, I have NVDA 2009.1. I go ahead and launch
SkypeTalking, as it's configured to start Skype for me. What happens?
Microsoft Anna, my default SAPI5 voice, starts speaking the events to me.
So there you have it; the latest snapshot of NVDA is *not* required to
use SkypeTalking, so long as you have a decent SAPI5 voice on your system.
