Hi Kay. You can only allow Skype Talking or any other program access to
Skype after running the program for the first time.
So, in the case of Skype Talking, extract the files to a folder of your
choice, then run the .exe file. You should see Skype coming up and asking
if you want the program to access Skype. If not, open Skype and go to
Tools/Options/Advanced. There you'll find a link called "Manage other
programs' access to Skype". Open the link, and follow the prompts.

Displaying of extensions can be done through folder options on the view
tab
in control panel.
