I'm still on 3.8. I like the Skype Watch thing, and the control-o that they
took away in the latest one. I thought Qwitter might be working on a Skype
session, not sure if it would work though if I download all the dependencies
and compile one up from their source repository in the meantime if this
really does happen.

I keep seeing the rumour on this list that versions of Skype prior to 4.0
will cease to function at the end of this month. The claim has been
consistent, but only opinions of doubt have been received in response.
OK , now I'm not interested in someone's opinion, however educated it may
be. If all you can say is that you haven't seen anything in the Skype
garage or whatever does not mean that Skype isn't planning a significant
move. But if you do have substantial credible information to confirm or
debunk this, I'd welcome it.
Whether it is true or not, it isn't going to hurt me because I'm already
using a version above 3, but I do support a large number of users world
wide, so knowing the truth about what may be happening will have an empact
on steps I will have to take to keep them communicating effectively.
