Hello I am brand new to this list and relatively new to Skype. I was forced to buy a new computer and I am now working with Windows 7, 64bit. I downloaded the version of Skype, 4.0179 and I wish I could go back to 3.8.
My most urgent issue is that I was able to go to a Skypeout phone number on my Contacts List and hit, Enter and my call would go through easily. I ran into a problem when I needed to key in a number for an extension or for a menu that was tone activated. I discovered that I could hit the Spacebar when it was time to key in numbers, but I could no longer hang up after completing that call. Now, the Dial Pad comes up every time I want to make a phone call and hitting Enter no longer works. I am automatically put into, Live conversations and nothing happens. I am using JAWS 11. Thanks for any advice. Note, I was told about Doug Lee's scripts and went to try them. Every time I click on the enstaller, I get into a death spirol that demands that I clear previous downloads. When I try to tab past this it gets stuck and demands that I type something into a search field. I have no idea what to type. Usually an automatic installer goes through these steps for me and I only need to click on Next, when it is called for. Wayne Thanks for posting to the skype english list.
