Thank you so much Marius. I did download skype talking 0.7.
Do I still have to check the box for Skype watch then. I had to create a
shortcut key to check the box but when I press that shortcut key nothing
happens. It either says not in table or something about mouse.
Also, how do I configure skype talking to do those actions that you
mentioned? It asked me if I would like skype talking to be an icon on my
desktop but I didn't check the box. I found the installation dialogue box
quite difficult as I had to tab to read what it said at times.

Skype Watch is a feature of the JAWS scripts for Skype. It announces the
Skype notifications that are displayed in the Windows system tray.
In Skype 4.2, which is the latest version of Skype, the system tray
notifications are in a format which cannot be accessed by JAWS, which
means
that it is impossible for Skype Watch to announce anything.
There is a program called Skype Talking, which fulfills the same function
as
Skype Watch when installed and running. The latest version can be
downloaded from:
http://skypetalking.googlecode.com
After installing Skype Talking, you will be prompted by Skype to either
allow or deny Skype Talking access to Skype. Choose the Allow Access
button, and you should be good to go.
Finally, you can also configure Skype Talking to announce every single
Skype
event, or only those you want to be notified of.
