As far as I know, you can't remove things from menus yourself. I think that menu is there as sort of a safety net, or at least it can be used that way. If you delete a conversation from your conversation list, for a while you can still find it in that menu. The menu may shrink or vanish if you don't save history or if you clear it entirely, but that's a wild guess.
