I am about to help someone set up skype again. But she doesn't
remember the e-mail address she had when she originally signed up for skype.
So, will this mean setting up a new account?

long absence. Profile data is removed from Skype servers if an
account is not used for several months at a time though. (I don't

Skype accounts are deleted after a really long period of disuse, but I
don't know how many months of disuse that requires. My guess is six
or more.

Hi Doug and all,
Thank you Doug for working on updating the scripts for skype and now we
can update to 4.2. I am currently still using skype 4.1. I want to update
to 4.2 but I will be going away for three months soon. It's not worth
updating before I go. I want to ask you guys if I don't use skype for all
that period of time, will I lose it and have to install it all over again
with all the contacts and everything? I don't have a laptop and I won't
have access to a talking computer in Lebanon. I have blind friends there
who have computers, but I don't think I will bother them with that. There
is no reason for me to need skype there. Mostly I use skype to talk to my
family and friends in Lebanon.
