I have just posted new JAWS scripts for Skype to go with the
just-released Skype 5.0 beta 2. As usual, they and a detailed
description of their contents are at

IMPORTANT: This script update is required if you are running JAWS with
my Skype scripts and the new beta. Older scripts, such as version 4.2e,
will not work with Skype 5.0 beta 2.
Note that the installer for this Skype version includes two checkboxes
for setting up Google Chrome, and they are checked by default. I
recommend that JAWS users uncheck these before installing Skype 5.0
beta 2.
For anyone who is not used to this, note also that this installer is a
"stub" that downloads the rest of Skype. For this reason, the
installer itself will download very quickly, but you may see a Pause
button and a progress percentage during the actual installation
process.
This Skype version includes a new thing called Skype Home, which is an
HTML area inside the Skype window. This is now where you go to set or
check your mood text, among other things. You can get there by
selecting Skype Home from the View menu. If that doesn't work, which
can happen if it's already showing, select something else from that
menu and then select Skype Home again.
