Hello if you review the release notes for Skype 5.0 beta-2 you will note that they state that the act contact section is not accessible with the keyboard.
This is strictly not the case. When you go to add contacts, you will be placed in an HTML window. You will now want to route your mouse to this HTML window and click the mouse with the left mouse button. This will activate the virtual cursor. This will allow you to interact with this window, so it is actually quite accessible from the keyboard. I happen to know this because I have been adding contacts. Back to my contact list, because somehow when I installed the beta. I lost all of my contacts who are not Skype out contacts. So if you are no longer on my contact list. This is the reason why.
