Hello, Laurel asked what version of Skype to use with Windows7 and Jim answered to use version 3.6. I am actually not sure if you can use anything below version 4 with Windows 7, but if you can I certainly would suggest 3.8 since version 3.6 goes way back and 3.8 had significant improvements. In any case, I would recommend to go with the current download from the Skype website which is version 4.2.0169. It works well with Doug's scripts and also with Skype Talking and in my opinion there is not much point to stick with an older piece of software on a Windows 7 machine and eventually you would want to upgrade, so you might as well learn it now since version 5 final release is probably not too far down the road.
In any case, I also wanted to ask a question and maybe this is for Doug to answer. What exactly does Skype Talking do that the scripts won't do? Now that Skypewatch works again, is it benefitial to run Skype Talking as well and if I do run Skype Talking is there any need for the scripts?
