I can understand you finding Skype 4.2 confusing, Chris, because I know that
some people find the layout in Skype 4 and 5 difficult to cope with, even
though that isn't the case for me. But it seems strange that your friends
couldn't hear you properly when you were using 4.2. Did you try changing
your microphone settings before downgrading? And can your friends all hear
you normally now that you downgraded to 3.6? I'm curious to know that, even
though I have no problems with newer versions of Skype myself.

This is what confuses me the most and hence me switching back to 3.6. If
any of you can explain how I actually do this then I may re-consider 4.2
because a friend of mine had trouble hearing me. For example I could hear
them loud and clear but they could hardly hear me unless they turn their
speakers up! They could duplicate this with another friend. They were
using 3.6 but have now gone back to 4.2.
